Mtre. Sarah Woods Co-chairs the ABA Securities Litigation National Institute to be Held in Toronto Next October 4th
Mtre. Sarah Woods, a partner at Woods LLP, is Co-Chair of the Regional Subcommittee for Canada of the American Bar Association’s (“ABA”) Securities Litigation Committee. In this capacity, she will be co-chairing for the second year in a row the ABA’s 2nd National Institute on US-Canadian Securities Litigation which will bring together leading U.S. and Canadian attorneys and regulators to discuss cutting-edge issues in securities litigation. This conference fosters the cross-border sharing of ideas and offers a comparison of legal trends and litigation strategies in Canada and the United States in areas such as securities class actions; shareholder activism, securities regulatory and criminal enforcement; merger and acquisition litigation; broker-dealer litigation; and upcoming securities litigation trends.
The Keynote speakers are Kevin J. Cloherty, Senior Vice President and Global Compliance Chief, Manulife Financial Corporation and Andy Fastow, former Chief Financial Officer, Enron.
